These classes are designed specifically
for the pregnant woman from 14 weeks. Each class
incorporates modified yoga postures and gentle stretches,
breathing exercises and relaxation at the end of the
class. You do not have to have previous experience of
yoga to attend the class. The classes will help
you to become more comfortable with yourself and
your changing body during pregnancy. We do this
through gentle stretching, breathing techniques and
relaxation.
The
classes will:
Strengthen the abdominal muscles and pelvic floor, relieve
muscular tensions, correct postural alignment and prepare
for labour and delivery. Deep breathing and relaxation
skills will help you to manage your stress, feel more
comfortable and think more clearly.
You
can start these classes at anytime after 14 weeks and
they are safe to do throughout your pregnancy.
The classes are run as courses mainly for administrative
purposes. It is advisable to get maximum benefit
to attend the classes throughout your pregnancy.
