About Rachel Bean

I was first introduced to yoga in October 1997, having for many years been a keen aerobics fanatic. I was looking for that something else to help me relax and help me to take control of my lifestyle; yoga has had a profound affect on my life.

I have never looked back, over the last 8 years I have worked with a number of teachers from various schools of yoga. I like to attend regular courses to develop my own practise. I also return to India every year to continue to learn more about Yoga and India.

Having taught general hatha yoga for 8 years I am now also teaching pregnancy yoga. I have trained with Birthlight to teach perinatal yoga (pregnancy and post-natal yoga) and with the international association of infant massage to become a baby massage instructor. I really wanted to learn more about how yoga could help during pregnancy and labour. I am committed to showing women useful postures and relaxation techniques to help them enjoy this special time in their lives.

I have also spent six months in Dublin where I taught hatha yoga, pregnancy yoga and baby massage for Harmony yoga Ireland.

Rachel loves India and has been fortunate to visit every year since she started teaching yoga. More recently she spent time with Dr.Sharma Yoga Bhavan Jaipur.

She is currently working on developing her jewellery collection inspired by her travels and developing her yoga business in Winchester and the new forest.
